Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year’s 2011

Hello Blog! My, how I’ve missed you! Now that the technical errors have been resolved thanks to the amazing Cathy Olsen of Love-Inspired, I can share a few items I have been working on. The holiday season is my favorite time of you. The past two years have been bittersweet as I lost my mother in November 2010, just ten days after attending Making Things Happen in San Francisco. MTH and the passing of my mother emphasized the importance of family, friends and fellowship. This past Thanksgiving my husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our very first Thanksgiving. With the help of my in-laws and siblings, we pulled off a fabulous dinner!

With a few weeks in between, we prepared for Christmas 2011. We attended annual holiday gatherings, worship services and reflected on the “reason for the season.” One of the highlights on Christmas was taking my daughter Payton to pick out our tree and decorating the house.

Just around the corner was New Year’s Eve. We celebrated New Years with our family and friends by attending Watch Night Service at our church. What a blessing it was!

I hope your holiday season was as blessed and warm as mine. Here’s to a NEW YEAR and a NEW YOU!
