Happy Monday Friends!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! This week on the blog we’ll be celebrating our clients Siobhan and Anou. Today’s post will give a behind the scenes look at Siobhan & Anou’s big day. Siobhan and Anou celebrated their one year anniversary yesterday! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know Siobhan and working with her planning her big day. Siobhan is a fashion blogger and Anou proudly serves the armed forces. In the beginning stages of planning Siobhan and I worked tirelessly researching and booking vendors, creating a theme and hashing out the numerous logistics. Anou, being in the military was deployed overseas during that time, so Siobhan and I worked very closely together. As we got closer to the big day Siobhan also moved to London to be with her beau. This meant that we had to work on the final logistics long distance.
Siobhan and Anou’s wedding was such a treat to be a part of. It was really cool to see two families and two cultures seamlessly merge to become one. I jump at the opportunity to raise the bar and try something new. Their wedding was the first Ghanaian/Laos/American wedding that I had the honor of planning. Siobhan and Anou’s wedding is special to me for many reasons. Not only did I gain a friend in Siobhan, it was also the first wedding that I got to work with my friend Rachel of Rachel May Photography. Rachel did a phenomenal job capturing the love and details of Siobhan and Anou’s day. The couple had an all-star team of vendors that were a joy to work with. David and the team at the Westin Alexandria went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Since their wedding day, Siobhan and Anou’s wedding has been featured on various platforms to include Style Me Pretty and Munaluchi Bridal! Check out a few behind the scene photos (courtesy of my iPhone) from Siobhan and Anou’s big day! You can also check out their gallery on the Geomyra Lewis Weddings and Events website. Later this week I will showcasing a few of my favorite details and highlights from their big day! Don’t forget to leave the once newlyweds a some love in the comments below!
Congratulations Siobhan and Anou! May you be blessed with many many more years!
